Earners of this badge have developed introductory skills which enable them to communicate using Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and completed Deaf Awareness Training with an Auslan interpreter. This course is delivered by Access Plus (formerly known as the WA Deaf Society), who have over one hundred years of history advocating for and supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in Western Australia, and who continue to inspire countless West Australians to learn Auslan.
