Digital Navigator Badge

Issued by Miami Dade College

Earners of the Digital Navigator Badge have completed a minimum of 21 hours of training in teaching adult learners basic digital literacy skills. Earners demonstrated their ability to teach these skills by providing a sample lesson at the conclusion of their training with the following topics: Navigating Windows/Mac and OS X environments, using a desktop and the taskbar, utilizing social media safely, using internet services, and sending and receiving email effectively.

Earning Criteria

Completion of the Digital Navigator Course (21 hours) including demonstration of ability to teach adult learners in a digital literacy area. Completion of a minimum of 40 hours of teaching adult learners digital literacy in conjunction with community organizations.
