This badge earner has been elected to serve as Policy Liaison of the Misericordia University Student Government Association (SGA), act as parliamentarian of Student Government, participate with revisions to the Student Handbook, review disciplinary guidelines, be the keeper of the official Student Government Constitution, and ensure the constitutionality of all Student Government proposals and activities. The SGA is guided by the concepts of Mercy, Service, Justice, and Hospitality.

Earning Criteria

Attend one-hour weekly meetings with Student Government Board members. Attend one-hour monthly meetings with the University’s Executive Cabinet. Attend one-hour monthly meetings with the University’s Council of Clubs. Hold 2 one-hour townhall meetings each semester for the entire student body.

Act as the parliamentarian of the Student Government, deal with all Student Government policy matters, and advise the Executive Board of all matters of procedural significance. Participate with the University administration in discussion of revisions to the Student Handbook and reviewing disciplinary guidelines for the student body.

Be the keeper of the official Student Government Constitution, make any necessary proposals, and ensure the constitutionality of all Student Government proposals and activities. Represent the student body on any administrative committees as requested by the SGA President.
