The badge celebrates faculty who have developed skills to ensure digital accessibility in supporting diverse learners. The badge indicates that the faculty has demonstrated knowledge and application of digital accessibility best practices in their course design.

Earning Criteria

Member of the Molloy University faculty who teaches fully online, hybrid, or face-to-face credit-bearing courses at Molloy University

The faculty will have successfully completed Molloy's Accessibility 101 course with a score of 80% or higher. Accessibility 101 is a fully online, self-paced professional development course focusing on foundational accessibility principles, application of remediation tools in the learning management system and various software programs, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

The faculty will have participated in at least two (2) workshops on the topic of digital accessibility provided by the Office of Blended and Online Learning within a period of 12 months.

The faculty will demonstrate that all current course pages in the LMS (Canvas) present an accessibility score of 95% or higher, as reviewed in consultation with an instructional designer.
