Summer Academy - Scriptwriting for TV

Students will gain proficiency in writing scripts for film, television, and video on demand streaming platforms. Using industry software, students will learn to write scenes that encompasses dialogue for characters, describing visuals such as actions, settings, and special effects, and organizing storylines (plot) that entertain potential viewers. Students will recognize that a script is an essential document and blueprint to bring script to screen.

Complete a four day workshop in scriptwriting.
Draft and share script with fellow attendees of the workshop for peer review.
Pitch their television series or movie for approval to the instructor/producer.
Complete a script for a movie or television pilot episode.
