The TV Studio Production Academy is a hands-on workshop for high school students interested in producing a television series. Students will learn aspects of script writing, record shows in the College's television studio, and edit video footage using industry software. Students will gain experience building a set, directing talent, operating a studio production camera, and using control room equipment (audio and graphics). This workshop covers the beginning steps for a career in screenwriting.

Earning Criteria

• Use professional industry software such as Final draft to write single column scripts and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video footage.

• Record and direct a television series using video production equipment.

• Understand technical and non-technical production roles including director, camera operator, audio engineer, lighting technician, and floor manager, among others.

• Utilize high-definition studio cameras by incorporating theories such as camera composition and movements.
