Through practical activities and an on-site visit to Holmesglen Institute, earners have experienced insights into health industry pathways. Earners have participated in activities and innovative learning methodologies related to allied health and nursing care, using pathology and laboratory techniques to analyse human samples and the significance of simulations to enhance patient care training. Earners have attended a Health Showcase at Holmesglen Institute, delivered in collaboration with MTS.

Allied Health Care - Earners have participated in small group activities, which introduced them to the unit to take clinical measurements and fundamental skills performed by an Allied Health Assistant.

Pathology Skills - Earners have participated in pathology skills where learners demonstrate techniques including aliquoting, infection control and accurate specimen labelling.

Lab Skills - Earners have engaged in laboratory techniques, including human cheek cell examination, stereo microscope application and utilisation of pre-prepared slides.
