Supersport - Immersion Day

Through interacting with expert educators in the fields of Data Analytics, Media and Communications, and through investigating technologies used in AFLW player performance, earners have experienced insights into Sports Technologies, AFLW, and Communications pathways. Earners have participated in an AFLW fitness session and learnt about the skills needed to produce media content for a professional sporting organisation.

Earning Criteria

Earners have investigated technologies used to track player performance in sports, including AFLW, by using Catapult tracking pods. Earners have participated in a football fitness activity using the technologies and looked into the resulting data post activity.
Earners have interacted with expert educators and professionals in the fields of Data Analytics, Media and Communications. Earners have been able to ask questions of the professionals to assist them to understand the links between sports analytics and public-facing media.
Earners have participated in a collaborative media-focused activity where they have discovered how to produce different kinds of media content for a wide range of audiences related to professional sporting clubs. Earners have presented their work to their peers through communicating the reasoning behind their content choices.
