Earners of the Harnessing Behavioural Insights micro-credential have developed an understanding of the factors that define and influence human behaviour, and the theories, tools, and methods used by behavioural scientists to tackle key global and local behavioural challenges. They are proficient in applying behavioural science concepts and skills, to understand, explore, and address behaviour change challenges from topics such as health, community, and sustainability.

Demonstrate active course participation and content engagement by responding to ten modular discussion forum activities throughout the course. This task requires a reflection on learning in each module, and the application of this learning to a scenario to demonstrate understanding and skill application. This is also an opportunity to contribute to the collaborative learning environment.

Successfully complete the assessment ‘Policy Brief’; a 1000-word brief that critically analyses the opportunities to change people’s behaviour with regard to a public policy issue. The writing must be structured as a response to a specific audience, and recommendations around programs or policies to engage people and change their behaviour with regard to the issue need to be made.

Successfully complete the assessment ‘Briefing Document’; a 1000-word document describing a current public policy challenge from a behavioural perspective, including stakeholder and influence mapping, behaviour identification and prioritisation.

Successfully complete the assessment ‘Intervention Proposal’; a 1000-word proposal for a behaviour change solution to the public policy challenge based on what is known about the problem, the priority behaviour and the target audience. This must also include a framework to measure the impact of the proposed intervention.
