Earners of the Leading Complexity course are able to distinguish between simple, complicated and complex environments and apply appropriate leadership approaches to each accurately assess the depth. They can accurately assess the breadth and dynamism of their networks and to build greater network advantage. Earners understand the critical elements of and take steps to create psychological safety, and are able to influence organisational culture, with an emphasis on collaboration and inclusion.

Earning Criteria

Participate in four 3-hour Live Experiences. Earners have participated in weekly Live Experiences, providing skills and experience in leading adaptively, leading systems, leading safely, and leading culture. This has provided earners will skills and experience in applying their leadership in complex operating environment, assessing the characteristics of professional networks, and reflecting on how to consciously shape culture to create psychologically-safe workplaces.

Apply skills to an adaptive workplace challenge. This requires participants to select, present, collaborate and support peer learning on a workplace challenge.

Participate in two 2-hour Peer Coaching sessions. This requires earners to present their adaptive leadership challenge to their allocated peer group. Using peer group coaching, earners support the peer workplace challenge to progress. Earners reflect on the process and their participation in it using reflective questions.

Participate in four guided self-reflections and a program reflection. Earners reflect and respond to facilitator questions mapped to weekly content, and then apply leadership modelling to their own workplace. Earners reflect on their views of leadership and their own leadership growth during the program.
