Verizon Innovative Learning Certified STEM Student

Issued by National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship

Earners of the Verizon Innovative Learning Certified Stem Student Badge have completed a 3 week camp and academic year of face to face hands on stem curriculum at their participating college campus. A project based curriculum including focused areas of AR/VR, 3D printing, coding, robotics, innovation and the 10 UN Sustainability Goals are the completion targets of the academic targets.

Earning Criteria

Played an active role in learning the stem curriculum and demonstrated an eagerness to learn, engage, create and collaborate with their peers. This student is driven to innovate and positively impact others.
Complete attendance for summer camp and academic Saturday engagements and complete group presentation with fellow students.
Each student must complete an application as part of the registration process. 80% of the students must qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program. Male students are predominately from urban communities and female students are predominately from rural communities.
