Earning Criteria

Submission and approval of application that meets the experience requirements as outlined in the CAT Applicant Handbook.
Completion of the NAEC CAT Training Program, NEIEP Education Program, L.I.T.S Education Program, EDM-A, or equivalent.
A minimum of 6,000 documented hours (3 years) of on-the-job training within the elevator industry attained before December 31, 2014.
Pass a high-stakes assessment examination.
Recertify annually with 10 CEs of which a minimum 1 up to 3 CEs are designated as Safety courses.
