Individuals are able to identify and describe alternative heating and cooling systems, including wood-, coal-, and pellet-fired heating equipment, waste-oil heaters, geothermal heat pumps, passive and active solar heating, in-floor radiant heating and direct-fired makeup air units. They have a basic understanding of computer room cooling systems and equipment as well as air turnover systems.
