They have knowledge of power generation and distribution and can explain how AC and DC circuits work. They have hands-on experience using appropriate instruments to measure voltage, current, resistance and power in a circuit. They can describe the functions of electrical components common to HVAC systems and have an understanding of how to read wiring diagrams.
