Individuals have been introduced to tasks that are often conducted while lines and components are live, performed using hot sticks and avoiding all contact with the energy source. They can identify essential safety practices and required live-line PPE. They are able to safely use and maintain tools and accessories such as wire tongs, strain poles/carriers, shotgun sticks, conductor pulling tools and live-line rope. They can describe basic procedures for performing live-line hot stick tasks.
