Individuals can identify and describe standard and special dump trucks and trailers, dump truck instruments and control systems, and normal driving practices. They understand how to operate a dump truck safely and handle a dump truck in an emergency. They can inspect, maintain, startup, warm-up and shutdown a dump truck and perform basic operations, including dumping a load, tailgate attachment and back up with a trailer.
