Individuals have been introduced to vertical-mast sit-down counterbalance forklifts. They understand the associated hazards and OSHA requirements. They are familiar with SDCB forklift instruments and controls and can describe how to use forklift attachments. They can demonstrate hand and verbal signals for forklift operation. They are able to start, warm up, maneuver and shut down a forklift. They can pick up, move and place a load, as well as safely perform inspection and maintenance tasks.
