Advanced II - Assessment of Teams in Professional Emergency Management (E/L0452)(v.2)

The course objective is to introduce the participants to the legal issues, working and managing in an ethical environment, leading and motivating within your organization and how to build dynamic and inspiring teams. The week also touches on concepts addressed in E/L0451, in particular the requirements of the NEMAA paper, to include a group review of each students' paper strategy and potential challenges.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include case studies, written papers, performance rubrics (checklists), presentations, and pre/post-tests with a minimum passing score of 75 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, discussion, learner presentations, lecture, and activities. The general course topics include leading and motivating, legal issues and legal authorities, ethical leadership, case study, NEMAA paper, and building teams.
