The course objective is to obtain a basic understand of EMAP including the steps involved in the EMAP Accreditation Process; examine the 2016 Emergency Management Standard and explore the need and application of standards; understand the responsibilities and expectations of an Accreditation Manager, Assessor, and Assessment Team Leader; and learn how to use the online EMAP Program Assessment Tool to document Emergency Management Program rationales and Assessor findings.
