The course objective is to provide local and state-level emergency responders with an overview of key duties and responsibilities of a Facilities Unit Leader Type III in a Type III All Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT).

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include case studies, participation, or an examination with a minimum passing score of 75 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, discussion, practical exercises, learner presentations, lecture, and classroom exercise. The general course topics include overview of the logistics section and the facilities unit, incident mobilization and initial situational awareness, facilities services, facilities infrastructure, layout considerations, implementation and maintenance security, management, demobilization, and debrief.
