Residential Sprinkler Plan Review (F/W0142)

The course objective is to provide the students with the ability to verify that the design of the residential fire sprinkler system is in compliance with national standards to aid in the detection and control of residential fires and consequently provides protection against injury, loss of life, and property damage. Prerequisites: ICS-100 prerequisite; ICS-200 prerequisite.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include participation, graded activities, and examination with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, practical exercises, lecture, and discussion. The general course topics include design and installation standards; water supplies; pipe, valves, and trim; overhead pipe and sprinklers; and verifying sprinkler coverage and hydraulic design.
