The methods of assessment include case studies and examinations with a minimum passing score of 75 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, practical exercises, learner presentations, lectures, discussions, and classroom exercises. The general course topics include define science; atmospheric science overview; hurricanes; convective storms; impact, probabilities, and dynamics of floods; categorize heat and drought; types, causes, greatest risk of ground failures; earthquakes; tsunamis; volcanoes; radiation; biological basics; explosives; and chemical basics.
