The method of assessment includes an examination with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, practical exercises, lectures, and discussions. The general course topics include extent of the youth fire setting problem; who sets fires and why; identification, intake, screening, disposition, and follow-up; and youth fire setting educational intervention.
