Earners of the Foundations of Learning and Teaching at Navitas credential have successfully completed an eight-week, 40-hour program designed to support new and early career higher education practitioners to develop the knowledge, capabilities, resources, and connections required to excel as a Navitas educator.

- Design modules/tasks that build on prior learning, scaffold learning, and that utilise active learning and collaborative strategies.
- Facilitate a relevant and challenging curriculum to support a student-centred and active learning environment, utilising contemporary evidence-based pedagogical approaches.
- Provide specific, timely and appropriate feedback and feed forward practice relative to learning outcomes and that support student learning and engagement
- Support diverse learning groups through appropriate approaches and environments for different learning preferences, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
Earning Criteria

Earners of the Foundations of Learning and Teaching at Navitas credential have successfully developed a teaching portfolio demonstrating their learning and development throughout this program. The portfolio is a collection of artefacts reflecting the earner's teaching values, development, skills, strategies, and goals.
