• Graduates of this course have completed over 76 hours (including pre-requisite course) of dedicated training in order to provide military and civilian personnel with knowledge and skills to utilise the MCCIS software applications to support Maritime Command and Control requirements and maintain the Recognised Maritime Picture (RMP).

Earning Criteria

The course uses a combination of formative and summative assessments throughout the course. Students are required to complete a scenario based practical exercise and pass a knowledge check before course completion.

The student will be required to present briefings and reports utilizing MCCIS resources to aid the commander in the battle space decision making process. The student will also be required to draft daily reports, messages and operational briefs for the Maritime Operations Centre.

During this course students must demonstrate the ability to:(1) Access and manipulate MCCIS Geographic Displays (2) Maintain the Recognised Maritime Picture as designated for operations and exercises (3) Utilize the MCCIS Tactical Decision Aids (TDAs) and Support Tactical Decision Aids (STDAs) to enhance the maritime picture. (4) Maintain operational database to ensure completeness and accuracy. (5) Maintain communication channels in an Operational status
