Earners of the Family Caregiver- All You Need to Know About Infection Control and Prevention Workshop have learnt how infections are spread, ways they can protect themselves and their loved ones, physical ways to prevent the spread of infection and tips to maintain these practices. They have also learnt effective communication, tools to assist, understand modifications for the recipient's’ abilities and observe health status to notify health care personnel of changes.

Complete a 2 hour theory lecture that includes case studies and videos.
Standards
Curriculum from the Family Caregiver workshops follow the standards of the accredited HCA program at NorQuest College. Skills are pulled that we expect a Family Caregiver can practice safely. Completion of the course does not contribute to completing a HCA program in Alberta.
