Earners of the Family Caregiver- Assisting with Mobility-Safe Practices Workshop have learnt proper body mechanics; Identify causes of falls and strategies to prevent them; assess and manage personal safety and risk of injury with mobility assistance; and determine actions to take when a fall occurs. They have also learnt effective communication, tools to assist, understand modifications for the care recipient's’ abilities and observe health status to notify health care personnel of changes.

Participate a 1.5 hour virtual reality and simulation experience. In simulation, the badge earner practiced providing care and decision-making skills through a real-life situational experience related to the workshop topic.
