Earners of the NFPA 1021 – Fire Officer Level II badge have demonstrated the skills necessary to assume a greater leadership role at the supervisory or managerial level in the Fire Service. They are prepared for management level positions with knowledge of local, provincial, and federal law making processes, intergovernmental and inter-agency relationship building, and cooperation between all levels of government, bureaus, and other officiating organizations.
