The Prevention of Infection & Transmission course aims to help public facing employees feel safe and to communicate public health measures to the public. Earners of the badge have learnt: 1) Psychological safety in the workplace; 2) Leadership/ effective communication; 3) How infection occurs and how to break the chain of transmission; 4) Current public health regulations; 5) Hierarchy of Controls; 6) Proper PPE use; 7) Intro WHMIS; 8) Cleaning principles; and 9) What to do during an outbreak.

At the end of the course, earners were guided through a story with three scenarios. This gamified solution helps the badge earner review course material, retain information better and apply knowledge and skills to a real life scenario.
