Earners have developed a foundational knowledge and comprehensive overview of American History from the pre-colonial period to the present. Earners will be better prepared to teach American history at the middle school and secondary level and have an acute understanding of the problems facing the United States in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Badge earners must complete: HIST 1483: American History to 1877 and HIST 1493: American History since 1877.
