GEOG 5053 Advanced Computer Cartography: Students learn cartographic theories, techniques used to collect and analyze data, and the design and construction of maps using GIS and computer mapping software.
GEOG 5803 Advanced Geospatial Technologies: Students learn about geospatial technologies and how to integrate these technologies in GIS projects. Students learn and apply theory, focusing on interpretation of remote sensing imagery, with emphasis on photographic, multi-spectral, thermal, and microwave remote sensing systems.
GEOG 5833 Advanced GIS & Spatial Analysis: Students learn advanced spatial processing and spatial analysis techniques. Students focus on a variety of application areas including transportation networks, ecology, health, demographics, climate, and marketing.
GEOG 5853 Advanced Automation & Scripting: Students are introduced to concepts in geo-computation and learn scripting languages to perform spatial analysis, automate tasks, and develop custom tools.
