Earners will have an advanced understanding of the growing field of public history, the careers available to public historians, and the skills needed to be a successful public historian. Earners will be introduced to the complex, rich history of Native Americans in Oklahoma and the varied opportunities related to tribal public history. Earners will complete HIST 5403: Contemporary American History: Public History and HIST 5433: Seminar: U.S. History: Native Americans in Oklahoma.
