Earners will possess an understanding of Native American history and culture, emphasizing Indigenous history in Oklahoma. Earners are prepared for workforce readiness by enhancing and developing skills needed in today’s digital workplace. Must complete: HIST 3723: Native American History or AIS 3723 Native American History, HIST 4733 Native Americans in Oklahoma or AIS 4733 Native Americans in Oklahoma, and ANTH 3453 Ethnology of the American Indian or SOC 3453 Ethnology of the American Indian.

Badge earners will have received an 80% or higher in all required courses and completed all coursework for each course.

Explain diverse Native American communities and their perspectives throughout Oklahoma, including urban and rural areas since time immemorial to the present.

Identify and contextualize significant historical transformations of diverse Indigenous identities and communities in lands now considered part of the United States from the pre-Columbian to the contemporary period.
