Authentic assessments highlight the responsibilities or duties of professionals within a given discipline and how the knowledge learned in class applies to a real-world situation, often bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Earners will implement the authentic assessment developed in Using Authentic Assessment Part One. Earners will evaluate the impact of the authentic assessment. The evaluation will include: Student reflection on the value of the assessment activity, Faculty/Staff reflection on the value of the assessment activity, The learning impact of the assessment, and What changes or improvements the faculty/staff will make based upon the evaluation.
