Recipients of the Communications Consulting Badge have participated in a 12-week experiential capstone course. In applying their organizational communication expertise to the sponsoring organization's communication challenge, they practiced a range of consultative skills. Participants conducted exploratory research, examined best practices, generated a collaborative relationship with a sponsor, and developed actionable recommendations. This is a level 3 badge.
Earning Criteria

Communication – demonstrated active listening and asked pertinent questions to define project scope, responsibilities, and ongoing mutual exploration.

Observation and research – generated key questions to ask, conducted review of information sources, presented findings.

Problem-solving – diagnosed critical issues, identified options to resolve issues, and generated a final set of recommendations.
