Created in 2020, the purpose of the Northern Edge Award is to augment existing funding sources for undergraduate scholarship at Northern State University. It is especially intended to aid student scholarship in under-represented disciplines and/or projects that may not be eligible/competitive for other funding opportunities on campus (i.e. student travel grants, or the competitive research grant).

Earning Criteria

Only undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolled full-time at Northern State University during the proposed project/activity are eligible to apply. (If the project/activity is in the summer, the student need not be enrolled full-time during the summer but must be enrolled full-time during the following Fall semester) Incoming freshmen and undergraduate transfer students are eligible if they have been accepted to NSU and meet all other eligibility requirements.
