Teaching and Course Design
The Teaching and Course Design Certificate Program is an introduction to the core components of inclusive, student-centered teaching and effective course design. The program will help you develop pedagogical skills to actively inspire students to support their learning, and apply best practices to create engaging courses. Using a rhetorical lens, participants will also refine their communication skills that are fundamental to every career.

Earning Criteria

Complete all four modules in a single academic year, conduct a micro-teaching session, and submit the final program feedback survey. To complete a module, you must do the readings (~2 – 3 articles or equivalent), attend the entire workshop, and complete the module assignment.
