This assessment and certification facilitate employment in early career ladder positions and promote continuing education at the post-secondary level preparing for careers associated with food science, food safety, food quality, food technology, and food preservation and packaging. The assessment is aligned with industry standards, the National Career Clusters Initiative, and the National Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

Complete any course work in an Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education approved program that encompasses the areas included in the objectives/blueprint for the certification assessment. All approved programs lead to industry-recognized credentials within our network of accredited technology centers.
