The Medical Coder and Biller Certification, also known as medical coders, or health information technologists, are responsible for maintaining and accurately reporting and categorizing patient information. They manage health information and ensure its’ quality through a series of checks and balances. They also need basic knowledge of medical terminology, patient care skills and general office skills.
