ASEP Transmission Specialist

Participants will gain fundamental automotive knowledge regarding manual and automatictransmission/transaxle systems on current General Motors vehicles in order to diagnose and repair automotive transmissions to meet needs of automotive service customers. Students must successfully complete AT 2314 (Gm Manual Drive Trains) and AT 2324 (GM Auto Transmissions & Transaxles) with a passing score of D or higher in order to earn this micro‐credential.

Earning Criteria

AT 2314 GM Manual Drive Train - learners will apply specific competencies in general transmission and transaxle diagnosis. Additionally, the learner will demonstrate competencies in transmission/transaxle maintenance, adjustment and in and off vehicle repair on current General Motors vehicles.
AT 2324 GM Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles - learners will apply specific competencies in general transmission and transaxle diagnosis. Additionally, the learner will demonstrate competencies in transmission/transaxle maintenance, adjustment and in and off vehicle repair on current General Motors vehicles.
