Earners of the Community Health Worker Micro-Credential have developed the entry-level skills needed to effectively deploy community health work skills in a community setting. They are competent in skills such as motivational interviewing, completing social needs/State Determinants of Health (SDOH) screenings, and making and tracking referrals to social services.

Earning Criteria

Complete 0100 Introduction to Community Health Worker (Roles and Skills 6 - 10). Complete knowledge checks - brief questions at the end of each course and earn completion statement from practicum host supervisor.
Complete 0200 Health Literacy, Education, Resources, and Policy (Roles and Skills 1 - 5). Complete knowledge checks - brief questions at the end of each course and earn completion statement from practicum host supervisor.
Complete 0300 Community Health Work Practicum. Acquire real-world experience with community health work in a community setting (24 hours)
