SOC 3553 Environment and Sustainability - an overview of the history and contemporary environmental sustainability issues, focusing on economic, political, and social issues related to environmental problems. The course reviews the theory and practices of sustainability, and approaches to sustainability in energy production and consumption, ecosystem management, water quality and availability, agriculture, waste management, and manufacturing.
