Foundational Nursing Skills
The badge owner has demonstrated the ability to: prepare/administer PO, SQ, IM, IVP, NG, transdermal, ophthalmic, IV, and IVPB meds using MASAT; complete head-to-toe assessments; perform vital signs; and execute dosage competency. They can communicate therapeutically, perform CNA-level daily living skills, and interpret the three components of clinical decision-making using the nursing process, all at a foundational level.
