Purposeful Planning
Upon completion of the workshop, the attendee will be able to identify elements of a lesson objective, develop an objective using Bloom's taxonomy terms, create an aligned plan based on the given objective, and create an assessment that aligns to the learning experiences and the lesson objectives. By teaching attendees how to purposefully and and successfully create a lesson, they will be more confident with their abilities in their current educational roles.

Earning Criteria
-
To successfully complete the workshop, attendees must score a 75% or better on the following: a fill-in-the blank quiz to identify appropriate Bloom's Taxonomy level of evaluation; a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast a learning session alignment; and a two-part constructed-response prompt to develop aligned strategies when given a lesson objective and create an appropriate assessment based on a lesson objective.
Standards
This workshop provides an overview of the Oklahoma State Department Academic Standards. All lesson plans will be reflective of the academic standards to ensure attendees are being prepared for teaching in Oklahoma.
Effective teaching standards will follow Marzano's Strategy for Effective Teacher. This model will be used to determine the learning objectives and ultimately what makes an effective teacher.
