STEM Ambassador
Completers of this micro-credential will have learned and applied critical thinking, problem solving, oral/written communication, technical writing, data analysis, digital technology, professionalism, teamwork and collaboration skills. Learners will conduct, demonstrate and explain STEM experiments/presentations to non-technical audiences; effectively communicate about the broader application of physical science to a wide range of audiences; and demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills.

Earning Criteria

Grade of C or higher in one of the following courses (5 hours): CHEM 1364/1361 General Chemistry I/Lab or PHYS 1115/L Physics I/Lab or PHY S2015/L Physics I for Science and Engineering Majors/Lab.

Participating with Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering department faculty for at least two different outreach activities (Women in Science conference, PHYSQUEST, CHEMQUEST, MathE, and other).

Present at least two demonstrations (Chemistry/Physics/Engineering) to K-12 students as a member of Chemistry club or Engineering club.
