Earners of the Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN®) credential have demonstrated they have advanced knowledge and experience in oncology nursing. They have the specialized knowledge needed to competently provide advanced-level care for adults along the entire cancer continuum. Earners initially demonstrated this knowledge by passing a comprehensive examination. They maintain their credential by completing professional development activities focused on cancer care in the adult population.
