OCC’s Medical Assistant program offers hands on training that will prepare individuals to work as entry-level medical assistants in the healthcare field. Medical assistants perform administrative tasks, clinical procedures and laboratory testing in a medical office. They work side by side with doctors, nurses and other health care staff to treat patients from newborns to senior citizens. This non-credit program contains 765 clock hours and takes approximately 36 weeks to complete.
