Graduating the 12 month NGP enables this RN to provide and coordinate evidenced-based person-centred nursing care for older adults through a team of AINs. This RN now has the increased competence and confidence to be the clinical decision-maker and leader on shift. This RN also can build effective therapeutic relationships with older adults, their support network, professional colleagues and other stakeholders to support an improved standard of person centred care.
