Standards
This course provides judge advocates and paralegals with an introduction to the fundamentals of operations and international law; trains students to identify and analyze legal and political implications of military operations; and, application of legal principles to operational problems in support of military operations CONUS and OCONUS.
The objective of the Homeland Defense / Homeland Security course is to provide judge advocates, civilian attorneys, and paralegals with basic instruction on the law applicable to domestic operations, including homeland defense, homeland security, and defense support of civilian law enforcement authorities.
The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with legal issues and challenges that affect the Joint Task Force Headquarters, with an understanding of how authorities undergird unified action; the concept and use of Rules of Engagement; and the key legal issues involved in stability operations.
