Earning Criteria

Complete the Skillport Leading with Values and Ethics course or equivalent (NOTE: SkillPort is CAC enabled)
Complete Ethical Self-Assessment Tool
Provide a statement affirming that a records review was completed to ensure there has been no derogatory information (Unfavorable Information File, Non-Judicial Punishment, Military or Civilian Court Conviction) in the past 12 months
Complete a self-reflection detailing fairness in decision-making, displaying and upholding integrity using ethical concepts, managing professional relationships and exemplifying Judge Advocate General Corps ethical standards (Reference AFI 51-110)
Complete the Paralegal: Ethics Specialist rubric
The Earner's supervisor will review the rubric and recommend the Earner for award of the badge

3.8. Although paralegals and nonlawyer assistants are not licensed attorneys subject to state licensing authorities, all Air Force legal professionals are responsible for knowing and conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the applicable rules and standards that govern the Air Force practice of the attorneys they assist.
